Your child’s journey to an Ambleside education.

We owe it to every child to put him in communication with great minds that he may get at great thoughts.

We owe it to every child to put him in communication with great minds that he may get at great thoughts.

CHARLOTTE M. MASON

We are so glad that you are considering admission to Ambleside Colorado for your child.

We warmly welcome you to follow the steps below to learn more and apply.

Come and See: Visit an Open House or Tour

Whether you’re drawn by our growth mindset, use of Charlotte Mason’s methods, or Christ-centered community, the best way to learn about Ambleside is to see it in action. Click here to Enjoy a tour or Open House, to experience the classroom for yourself as you begin to discern whether Ambleside is a place your child and family will thrive.

Fill Out an Application

Ambleside Colorado utilizes FACTS, an online platform that is used for submitting applications and supplemental forms, enrollment, and tuition. To fill out an application, click here. FACTS requires families to create a free account.

Follow the steps for verification and create a new student application. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account, access your open application, and pay the application fee.

*If you are applying for more than one child, complete the first application, and then use the Sibling Application for your remaining child(ren).

Submit Additional Documents

Within the FACTS application, you will be asked to submit supplemental forms and requirements, including:

• Your child’s standardized test results (applying for Grades 2 and above) and report cards for the past two years.

• A Student Recommendation Form, completed by your child’s current or most recent teacher. Have their email address handy, and FACTS will notify them for you.

*If your child is applying for Kindergarten or has been homeschooled, you can ask an adult who has worked with your child over a period of time in a group situation. Think of coaches, theater or other extracurricular teachers, or Sunday School teachers.

• An application fee of $100 per student.

Shadow Day and/or Assessment

You will receive confirmation via FACTS as you submit each of the above requirements. Once we receive the required documentation listed above, we will reach out to schedule a student shadow day and/or assessment at the school.

Keep Learning About Our Approach

As you continue through the admissions process, we want to give you a clear picture about how we are teaching at Ambleside and why. Prior to the Parent Conversation, please choose one of the following:

• Read or listen to For the Children’s Sake, by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay. An easy read introduction to the Charlotte Mason educational philosophy, you will gain an inspiring, Christ-centered view of the child, parenting, and education.

• Watch The Ambleside Difference, a series of video shorts by our parent organization, Ambleside Schools International, that provides an overview and introduction to the Ambleside Method.

Parent Conversation

Following the student assessment, we look forward to sitting down with you for a parent interview. We’ll get to know one another better, listen to what resonates or sparks your curiosity from the reading or videos, provide feedback on the student assessment, and answer your lingering questions. We ask that both parents (or legal guardians) participate.

*If completing an application toward 8th grade and above, additional requirements include student essay questions and a student meeting with the principal during the parent interview.

Decision and Enrollment

Following completion of the above, applicants are notified of our decision toward enrollment. Our primary goal is always that each child will thrive here. Additionally, applicants will be considered based on space availability and optimal classroom mix. If a particular class fills, accepted students may be placed in a Wait Pool and parents will be informed.

Once accepted, secure your child’s space by:

• Returning the signed enrollment agreement, which will accompany your acceptance letter, and

• Submitting a non-refundable enrollment deposit per student. This will be applied to tuition for the upcoming year if submitted by the deadline.

Current Families

If your family is already enrolled at Ambleside, and you are looking to enroll another sibling, please log in to your FACTS Family portal to find the sibling application. On the left-hand navigation menu, click the dropdown arrow next to “Apply/Enroll” and click “Application (New Student).” After entering your student’s initial information, select “Sibling Application” from the dropdown menu and click Submit to begin.
