Nature Study

Enjoy relaxed time to slow down and closely observe a Colorado native plant as our students do — then create a colorful illustration with the friendly guidance of an Ambleside teacher.

Noticing God’s Creation Together

Have you ever wondered how to engage your children or grandchildren while hiking in our beautiful state? Learn how to guide children through plant identification while exploring the native gardens with our teachers.

Science — Botany

Explore the idea of the goodness of growth while enjoying a 6th grade botany lesson on the stages of a plant, from seed to fruit. Then plant your own seed to take home!

Science — Biology

Many of you wish you could join Ambleside High School as a student — now is your chance! Observe a tree from its full state down to the cellular level in this interactive class.

Poetry en Plein Aire

Whether through Hopkins’ vision, Wordsworth’s descriptions, or Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies, poetry often reveals God’s glory in nature. Experience and appreciate poems as our students do, while in a beautiful setting.
