Welcome
Ambleside Englewood, opening August 2026 at Calvary Englewood, is a new campus of Ambleside Colorado.
Our mission is to make a Christ-centered, living education accessible to families from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
At Ambleside, we don’t simply deliver information — we cultivate ideas that nourish the whole person.
Rooted in the Charlotte Mason philosophy and utilizing the Ambleside Method, we believe:
- Every child is made in God’s image
- Each child has dignity and limitless potential
- Education is a life built in relationship: with God, with others, with ideas, and with creation
Our hope is to open the door for more families to experience an education marked by peace, joy, and beauty.
How We Are Unique
Accessible by Design
Income-based tuition ensures every family contributes responsibly and sustainably. Donor partners support our mission so families from all backgrounds can join us.
Character Formation
We help students to not only grow in academic skills, but to intentionally cultivate habits of attention, self-mastery, perseverance, and joyful effort.
Living Books
Instead of dry textbooks, students read “living books” that spark imagination, curiosity, and meaningful engagement.
Active Learning Through Narration
Students retell and reflect on their learning, building comprehension, ownership, and clarity of thought.
Relational Assessment
Students receive detailed written feedback that honors the whole person, not impersonal letter grades.
Affordability
Affording an Ambleside Education
At Ambleside Englewood, we believe a Christ-centered education should be accessible to families across the socioeconomic spectrum.
A typical private school provides around 15% of the overall cost of educating its students as financial aid. Through the generosity and partnership of donors, our budgeted commitment is set at 50%. This means that while some families will pay more and others less, a greater number of families will finally have access to this education.
Income-Based Tuition
Tuition is income-based, meaning families contribute a fair share according to their financial circumstances. Through the generosity of our donors and community partners, more families can access this education.
Tuition is determined on a sliding scale (“fair share”) based in part on tax information and household size. While final tuition amounts are determined during the admissions process, the following table gives estimated costs to help families plan.
A Community That Thrives Together
Ambleside is more than a school — it’s a Christ-centered community that partners closely with parents.
Families at Ambleside:
- Embrace a relational, growth-minded education
- Serve together with humility and joy
- Value character and beautiful work alongside academic achievement
We believe that education flourishes through shared sacrifice, shared joy, and shared vision. When families pursue a common hope for their children, a life-giving community is formed.
A Curriculum That Feeds Mind and Soul
Our broad, balanced curriculum integrates:
- Math
- Grammar & Writing
- Literature
- Bible
- Nature Study
- Spanish
- History
- Art
- Music Appreciation
- And more
We emphasize firsthand reading, direct observation, and encounters with beauty to deepen each child’s relationship with God and the world.
Regardless of background or circumstance, we want every student to encounter ideas filled with hope, meaning, and purpose.
Nurturing Students and Families
Our classrooms are peaceful, ordered, and joy-filled.
Teachers gently cultivate habits of:
- Effort
- Attention
- Self-discipline
We prioritize strong parent–teacher partnerships through conversation, reflection, and mutual accountability.
Because we form the whole child, we emphasize courage, character, curiosity, service, and academic excellence.
Parents often tell us this way of schooling brings renewal and life into their homes.
